Getting to Surgut

By plane

The quickest way to get to Surgut is by air. Surgut International Airport is the largest one in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous okrug. The flight from Moscow to Surgut takes about three hours. The airport is located approximately 1.5 kilometers from the city center.

Getting to and from the airport:

Public transport: buses and shared taxis
There are regular bus connections between the airport and the city centre. You can use buses (lines 21 and 69) and shared taxis (lines 20 and 33) to get to the city center. It is possible to buy a one-way ticket by cash inside a bus or a shared taxi.

The taxi stands are located right outside the arrival area of the terminals. It takes about 30 minutes to get from the airport to the city centre.

By train

There is a Railway Station in Surgut with frequent and regular connections to a number of Russian cities including the western route coming through Ekaterinburg and Tyumen. It takes about two days to get from Moscow to Surgut by trains operated by the Russian Railway company RZD.
